We arrived to Natchitoches for the 99th annual Christmas Festival of Lights and because of some restraints due to my mother's illness , wanted to be within walking distance of the festivities. Well, we were super close to main street and all of the stores. We even enjoyed the parade being able to sit on the front porch and observe. It was amazing. There are also several lovely restaurants within the walking distance including sushi, steak and seafood, mexican, and hamburgers and meatpies. We traveled a few miles away on the last night to a restaurant called Mariners which was super nice. A must try for seafood and steaks. The rooms were super clean and private. The other guest there were so nice , we enjoyed the company. The hosts there were so attentive and super nice as well. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinning room was so elegant and comfy. I cant wait to travel back and stay there. Such a great vacation that we are planning to make every year.
