Two recent guests, Gus Fajardo and Julie V., each left 5-star reviews of Judge Porter House Bed and Breakfast in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Their visits were different, but when they described what stood out — historic character, breakfast, hospitality and location — their reviews began sounding remarkably familiar.

Gus wasn't planning a getaway.
He came to Natchitoches for several days while working on a pipe organ project at Northwestern State University. A recommendation led him to Judge Porter House.
His 5-star Google review praised the historic B&B as:
“Charming, quaint and hospitable!!”
He complimented the location near the Cane River, Front Street restaurants and shops, and Northwestern State University. He remembered Jackie and the breakfasts, too.
But Gus saved his strongest recommendation for the end:
“If you’re looking enjoy Natchitoches and are looking to stay in a historical B&B, Judge Porter House is the ticket.” 💚
We corrected Gus's small misspelling of Natchitoches in the original property story — but otherwise, those are his words.

Julie V. visited Natchitoches with family, and her review was considerably shorter than Gus's.
But sometimes you don't need many words.
“Beautiful, authentic and very well maintained house. Delicious breakfast. Very kind people. Walkable distance to historic center. Parking in front. Perfect.”
That's a pretty efficient review. 😊
Julie gave Judge Porter House 5/5 for rooms, 5/5 for service and 5/5 for location.
She also photographed the entrance hall during her stay — giving future guests a chance to see the historic interior through the eyes of an actual guest.
