Four Natchitoches Inns Featured by HistoricInns.com—Violet Hill Named Best Small Inn in Louisiana
Violet Hill has earned a statewide spotlight: HistoricInns.com selected our riverfront bed and breakfast as its “Best small inn” pick in its Louisiana guide.
The guide covers 31 historic hotels and inns across seven Louisiana towns. Among those properties, Violet Hill holds the small-inn distinction—and all four members of the Natchitoches Bed & Breakfast Collection made the list.
Andrew Morris House, Violet Hill, The Queen Anne, and Judge Porter House were the only Natchitoches inns that made the Louisiana list. Seeing the whole Collection represented makes Violet Hill’s recognition even sweeter.

HistoricInns.com is a travel website devoted to historic lodging. Its editors say they verify each property against primary sources, checking its age, historic credentials, and whether it currently welcomes guests. Its Louisiana selections range from New Orleans hotels to small bed and breakfasts like ours.
The guide gives Natchitoches its own section, connecting our four historic homes with Front Street, Cane River Lake, and the National Historic Landmark District. That hometown attention means a great deal to us.
Each house brings something different to a stay: Andrew Morris House’s 1855 cottage charm, Violet Hill’s riverfront gallery, The Queen Anne’s Victorian character and gardens, and Judge Porter House’s candlelight breakfasts.
We’re proud to see the whole Collection represented. Thank you, HistoricInns.com, for helping travelers discover Natchitoches and the historic homes where we welcome our guests.
