Vacation Style: Finding Your Perfect Stay with the Natchitoches Bed and Breakfast Collection

Travel looks a little different for everyone. Some visitors arrive in town with a packed itinerary and open-road dust on their boots, while others check in looking for quiet romance or space to gather with multiple generations under one roof. 🧳🗺️

At the Natchitoches Bed and Breakfast Collection, we believe your lodging should match the spirit of your journey. To show you what we mean, we looked at three entirely different kinds of trips our recent guests took while staying at our historic Andrew Morris House property.

Which of these travel styles sounds like your next getaway? 👇

The Classic Romantic Celebration 🌹🥂

If your travel style is all about slow mornings, historic charm, and intimate dinners, a romantic anniversary escape is hard to beat. Kia McCurley and her husband recently checked into the cozy Henry Guest Room to celebrate their wedding anniversary, proving that even distance can't keep a great couple apart.

For them, the highlight was the seamless blend of a historic setting, modern ease, and personal attention. Kia left a wonderful review of their experience, specifically mentioning the sweet care they received from our staff:

"Staying at the Andrew Morris House B+B was a lovely experience. An easy 5-10 minute walk to the downtown Natchitoches area, this B+B had lovely rooms, great service, an easy check-in process, and such great value. Ms. Renee, in particular, was so sweet and offered (insisted) to take pictures of us for our anniversary. I fully endorse staying at this lovely place and getting a taste of the history of the Oldest Town in Louisiana." 📸🥞

The Adventure & Road Trip Getaway 🏍️💨

For travelers who love the freedom of the open road, Natchitoches is the perfect place to drop the kickstand and rest. Recently, Sean O’Conner and his father made a memorable stopover with us during a motorcycle road trip from Oklahoma to New Orleans.

Sean’s goal was to plan a highly meaningful journey to celebrate his dad’s upcoming 81st birthday (though we all agreed he looks decades younger!). Road-trippers need comfort and practicality, which they found in the spacious Tucker Suite. With two separate, private bedrooms, it gave them the ideal layout to recharge before hitting the highway the next morning.

The Multi-Generational Family Reunion 🎓❤️

Planning a trip for a large group can be a logistical challenge, but the properties in the Natchitoches Bed and Breakfast Collection are uniquely designed to bring people together. Take the Perdue family, for example. As frequent guests, they know exactly how to maximize their time together in the oldest town in Louisiana.

For their latest family gathering, six members of the family traveled together and booked out the entire upstairs level of the house. By combining the Tucker Suite (sleeps 4) and the adjoining Ragan Suite (sleeps 2), they enjoyed a completely private floor to catch up, relax, and swap stories. We are already looking forward to their return when they come back to celebrate Patrick Perdue's upcoming graduation from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA). 🥂🎉
