Little did my friend and I realize that when we booked this place, due to her never having the experience of staying in a B& B, that the Judge Porter House was in my 1000 places to see before you die book! It must have been fate or a God smiling on us thang!


We absolutely loved staying here. From the time we entered the place we fell in love with this Southern Pearl!


We also had the privilege of staying in the upstairs part of the house and had it all to ourselves to include the parlor where we mostly played and learned a few new games- like backgammon. We truly both felt like pampered Princesses in a castle!


What can we say about the two beautiful ladies who cooked and served us breakfast the next morning-Sherri and Jackie were the absolute best hostesses! As you can see Chef Jackie made us a delicious spread both mornings and truly we did not want to leave her!


We also wanted to Thank you Angelia for helping us book one of my now top favorite B&Bs in the U.S. Midwest that I have ever been too.


Also a big Thank you Sherri and Jackie for your warm and sweet hospitality!

Felt very safe and walked to the historic downtown district.

Plenty of ice and mostly had bottled water which was perfect for us!


Noteworthy details

2 courses to our daily breakfast served promptly at 8:30. Friendly hostesses with the mostest!
